MFAW-VT faculty member Rogelio Martinez’s play Ping Pong has been published by Broadway Play Publishing.

Ping Pong, based on true events surrounding the groundbreaking table tennis tournament that marked a new chapter inimgres U.S. – China relations, tells the story of the young man who played the game and the political actors who were playing him.  With Nixon and Mao on either side of the court, the ushering in of a fragile new relationship between the two countries is a funny, incisive, and imaginative new play about the little moments of history that set up the big ones.

Congratulations, Rogelio! I remember a bit you read during residency several years ago and I loved it. Loved the humor. Loved the staccato (ping pong like) language.
